Filzah I. Pavalon is an Associate at Lauro & Singer, where she participates in all aspects of white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation.
Ms. Pavalon grew up in the Washington metropolitan area and later received her law degree from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining Lauro & Singer, Ms. Pavalon focused on innovative health care technology from regulatory and academic perspectives, having worked for a nationally regarded academic medical center, provider organization, legislative advocacy practice, and a federal entity within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
Leveraging her experience with the highly regulated industry, Ms. Pavalon now helps defend the firm’s clients in high-stakes, complex civil and criminal matters, including in federal investigations.
Civil and Criminal Matters
Ms. Pavalon concentrates on complex civil and criminal matters in and out of the courtroom. She has successfully researched and drafted dispositive and appellate briefs, many of which address novel and complex questions of law. Ms. Pavalon’s proudest achievement is obtaining victory shortly after admission to the Florida Bar in connection with an embattled legislative program for catastrophically injured infants.
